As we're driving down the motorway towards Barcelona we passed the exit for the Costa Brava. Out of the blue Jan said, "I'd like to visit Tossa," and then as an aside, "after all they were kind enough to name it after you!"
Charming. Mind you, I had been teasing her mercilessly so it was well deserved.
