Petrol, or the lack of it

I'm not too sure about other parts of France, but there are huge queues for petrol all around here and I have heard of petrol stations shutting, because they have run out, as far away as Narbonne. People are even talking about driving to Spain to buy some.

We need to think carefully about all non-essential trips for a while. Unless of course we need to buy another bloody casserole dish!!

We have two petrol stations (supermarket ones) in this area.

The first had queues out onto the road today and absolute mayhem. And a sign saying 'no gasoil'.

The second was shut totally.

Thank goodness we have a second little runabout (more rust than car!) that runs economically on petrol! We might be relying on it soon......

Fuel is getter more expensive in the UK as well. We do not have queues and shortages yet, but it cost me 122.9p per litre for Deisel the other day, and is seems to go up daily. So to fill up my car it is costing over £55 each time!
Oh to work in cycling distance of work, rather than 30 mins down the M3 to Southampton! Lesley
